SEND HELP

“Send Help” is a personal, experimental project with the goal of exploring the effects traditional VFX simulation processes have on typography, and how the varying results can lead to unexpected design decisions. I did this by running text through a wind simulation, and changing the way the text behaves if made up of different materials under different conditions. “Send Help” is the thought the text might have as it is torn apart by the elements. The visual is paired with an sequence of sampled bell, and percussive sounds that felt right.
