Oh my lord, I am so bored
In the first verse of "Held the Hand"- one of my favourites- Daniel Johnston sings "Oh my lord, I am so bored." I've always loved those lyrics because I feel they convey more than just an everyday boredom. It goes beyond "I don't have anything to do" and leaks into an existential boredom that hits us from time to time. Here is a man who was hit while mowing his lawn.
