Last monday I had the opportunity to take part in a life drawing session at "White House Studio" in the Kensington Market. It had been over two years since I last took part in something like this and by god I didn't even realize how much I had missed it. For me, drawing from life -even just in a sketchbook on the bus- has become such an important activity for me. For some reason it used to always frustrate me to draw from life, but with time and practice the act itself just feels so zen now. When I picked up the charcoal I dreaded seeing the shit my rusty hand would produce, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it came back to me.
So, for 8 lil bucks you can come get two hours of life drawing greatness at the whitehouse studio every Monday. See ya there. Love ya.

Bigorexia
Everyone with half a brain can tell you that women face extremely unhealthy, and often unattainable beauty standards within pop culture. The need to be near perfect is a very damaging concept that causes many women serious anxiety. However, what often goes unnoticed are the mirror image standards that are set for men. Coined "bigorexia", the need for larger musculature and physique is an ever growing problem among men and boys.
